³Dialogue: a Basic Platform for Better Understanding ³ was the title of two week end training seminars which were held in the Beqaa valley, Lebanon, from November 18-19, and in the North of Lebanon from November 25-26, 2006. These seminars are part of the project on: "Conflict Prevention: Stereotyping and Social Immunity" in Lebanon.

Around 60 representatives of churches and religious based organizations, NGO's and community based programs, exchanged opinions and views on challenges, obstacles and successes that face their work in their respectiv e communities.

Small group discussions concluded that the situation and reaction of conflict parties define the future outcome of the conflict. Violence is avoided if the parties have positively resolved the conflict and complete peace is reached. In opposition, negative attitudes of the parties lead to violence. Discussion on citizenship took a large part of the second worksho p and was defined as a holistic relationship among citizens, and their relation to their land.
