VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 12/13/06)―Hope Unlimited, a ministry to Brazilian street children led by Philip and Corenne Smith, missionaries of International Ministries, will soon be featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. The Friday evening edition of the program includes a series entitled "Making a Difference," focused on positive news stories. NBC has indicated to the Smiths that the segment on Hope Unlimited is tentatively scheduled to be shown on Friday night, December 22nd, though the date may be subject to change. Once the program has aired, it will be avaible for viewing on the "Making a Difference" section of the NBC website.

Phil Smith co-founded Hope Unlimited in 1991 and currently serves as its president. The goal of Hope Unlimited is to be "Transforming the lives of children at mortal risk, providing them with a productive future and eternal hope." When an NBC film crew visited the Smiths at the end of November, 2006, its members were struck by the depth of transformation they saw in the Brazilian street kids that Hope Unlimited serves.
