Multimedia: Njongonkulu Ndungane on the Millennium Development Goals

[ENS] Archbishop Njongonkulu Ndungane of Cape Town, Primate of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, has been one of the leading voices on issues of peace and justice throughout the Anglican Communion and is steadfast in his endorsement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). In an interview with the Episcopal News Service, Ndungane offers an overview of the MDGs and speaks about ways in which people can become involved in the fight against global poverty.

Catalyst: "A Child's Guide to the Holy Eucharist, Rite II" from Morehouse Publishing, Commentary by Sarah Horton, Illustrated by Cecilia M. Murdoch, 65 pages, paperback, c. 1999, $9.95

[Source: Morehouse Publishing] Written for grammar-school age children, this guide to the Rite II Eucharistic service presents the full text of the service from the Book of Common Prayer alongside commentary and cartoons that clarify the meaning of the words. Horton focuses on the "hows" and the "whats" of the service itself, in the belief that participation and information are, in the long term, the keys to Christian formation.

This practical manual will be useful to a wide variety of groups. Church school teachers and pastors can use this in Sunday school classes, or during the service itself to help children participate more fully. Parents and children will also find this a helpful tool as they explore Christian life together.
