ABCUSA: MMBB Elects Three New Managers

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 12/19/06)-The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB) elected three new managers at its annual meeting, November 6-7, 2006. Effective January 1, 2007, Dene T. Hurley will serve as a manager-at-large, Jeffrey J. Kempton will represent the Board of International Ministries and James T. Napolitan, a new public manager, will serve on the board's Finance Committee.

Dene Hurley traces her Christian roots back to the Judson mission in Burma. She earned a Ph.D. in economics from Northeastern University, an M.S. degree from the University of Bath, U.K., and a B.S. degree in economics from Lehman College-The City University of New York. She is a member of the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church in Scarsdale, N.Y.

Jeffrey J. Kempton was elected as a Board Member by International Ministries. He holds a B.A. from Virginia Technical Institute and is a Financial Planner. He has been active in his local church, the American Baptist Churches of Maine and the Gerneral Board of ABCUSA.

James T. Napolitan is a commodities trader with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. A graduate of Harvard College, Napolitan holds an M.A. in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is a member the Board of Trustees of Franklin College.

At the close of the meeting, President George Tooze Jr. expressed gratitude and extended the board's best wishes to Keiko Chew for her fours years of service.
