WCC Middle Desk Theological Consultation in Cairo-Egypt The Consultation was organized jointly, by the WCC Faith and Order and Middle Desk, on the occasion of the publication of the Arabic document on the ³Nature and Mission of the Church². The Consultation aimed at launching the ecclesiological debate mainly among the Arab speaking Churches in the Middle East. The event was held in Cairo-Egypt, from November 30 to December 3, 2006.
Among issues presented and discussed: Church as Sacrament; Church and Sin; Limits of Diversity; Local Church; Episkope, Bishops and Apostolic Succession; In and for the World; Conciliarity and Universal Primacy and others.
