Calling All Ionian Village Alumni
Ionian Village, the beloved travel abroad camping program of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, has touched the lives of thousands of Greek Orthodox youth, strengthening their faith and introducing them to the religious and cultural treasures of Greece. Since its inception in 1970, some 16,000 teens and young adults have made the pilgrimage to Greece through this program, connecting to their faith and heritage. Celebrating its history and looking to a bright future, Ionian Village is pleased to announce its initiative to re-connect with alumni of the program. This effort will not only serve to spark fond memories of faith and friendship found in Greece, but will also inform alumni about developments in the program, encourage them to re-connect with one another, and help them spread the word about Ionian Village to the teens and young adults in their lives.
To join the Ionian Village alumni mailing list, former campers and staff members are invited to visit www.ionianvillage.org/documents/alumni_form.pdf, print the form, fill it out and mail it to us, or they may submit information via email to ionianvillage@goarch.org. Those submitting via email are asked to include first and last name, maiden name if applicable, a current mailing address, email address, year(s) attended, and whether they were staff members or campers. With updated contact information, Ionian Village will send an annual alumni report, information about regional alumni gatherings, and notification about staff applications and camp registration.
