Chaldean Seminary and Theological University Reopened in Kurdistan
The Chaldean Church¹s two educational institutions, the Chaldean Major Seminary and Babel College, have moved from Baghdad and reopened in Ankawa, near Irbil, in Kurdistan. The move comes as a result of the growing insecurity in the capital city and other areas in Iraq. The decision to mov e was made official on January 4, 2007, after closing down the two institutions.
A mass was celebrated on this occasion by the rector of the Babel College. The College now counts 25 seminarians along with many other students studying theology and philosophy.
