LCMS Theologians Respond to Documentary Claims Regarding Jesus' Tomb
As Hollywood prepares to air a documentary this Sunday evening titled "The Lost Tomb of Jesus," in which the case is made that a tomb discovered in 1980 is the final resting place of Jesus and his family members, we want to direct our subscribers to information and insights shared by two prominent Lutheran theologians. The documentary will air this Sunday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The Discovery Channel.
Noted historian Dr. Paul L. Maier, LCMS second vice president and professor of ancient history at Western Michigan University, and Dr. Jeffrey Kloha, assistant professor of exegetical theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, each has written a response to claims made in the documentary. We invite you to review their responses by visiting www.lcms.org <http://www.lcms.org> and following the links in the lead story on the homepage. Thank you.
