WACC has confirmed plans to hold its upcoming international communication conference in a popular neighbourhood of Cape Town, South Africa. Participants will stay at the Cape Town Ritz Hotel, part of the African Sky hotel chain, and meet in plenary sessions at the adjacent Atlantic Christian Assembly church. The Sea Point area, bordering on the waterfront, is known as a lively area of cafes and hotels.
Congress 2008, scheduled to run from October 6 to 10, 2008, is expected to attract 350 communicators from around the world to explore the theme Communication is Peace: Building viable communities. The programme will include visits to community projects in the Cape Town area.
