(GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.) - An explosion ripped through a cafe in downtown Nairobi at eight o'clock (0500 GMT) this morning. Unconfirmed reports suggest that a suicide bomber

detonated the bomb just two blocks from the location of the U.S. Embassy attack in 1998, causing concern among residents that history may be repeating itself according to the BBC.

"Reports in Nairobi are that this needless bombing has killed five and injured 33, but that is unconfirmed," says Christian Reformed World Relief Committee's (www.crwrc.org) Hans

Helleman, a volunteer International Relief Manager for the organization there.

"CRWRC staff in Nairobi are safe, but we are saddened and concerned for the citizens of this country," Helleman continues.
