VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 02/05/08) - Johnson Eapen has been named as the new director for Human Resources Development for ABCUSA's Office of the General Secretary effective Feb 3, 2008.
In his position, Eapen's responsibilities will include managing the benefits plan, recruitment, and ensuring the overall efficiency and productivity of staff through strategic initiatives. Human Resources Development serves the Office of the General Secretary, International Ministries, American Baptist Foundation and the Associated Ministry Organizations.
Commenting on Eapen's appointment, ABCUSA General Secretary, Rev. A. Roy Medley, said, "With his solid background in the field of human resource development and his familiarity with ABC structure and policies, Johnson was the perfect fit to fill this position. We are grateful for the skills and abilities he will continue to bring to the organization."
Eapen came to the organization in 2000 as the Assistant Director for Human Resources. He took on the role of Acting Director in Nov. of 2007 following the resignation of Wendy Rothenberger, then director of Operations and Human Resources Development, and has served in that capacity since.
Eapen earned his MBA through Eastern University, St. Davids, PA. and his MS in Human Resource Development and BS in Technology from Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, KS.
