You have already received information about the meeting of the Council of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) to be held from 25 June to 1 July 2008 at the Arusha International Conference Center (AICC) in Arusha, Tanzania, hosted by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT). The theme will be "Melting Snow on Mount Kilimanjaro: Christian Witness Amidst the Suffering Creation."
We kindly invite you to fill out the attached Media Accreditation form; and indicate on the "REPLY COUPON" the exposure visits that you would be interested in joining. Please return both forms by 31 March 2008 to Beatrice Bengtsson at: bbe@lutheranworld.org
Please note media accredited to the LWF Council meet costs for their travel and accommodation, including for pre and post-Council visits. The LWF Office for Communication Services has only limited possibilities to sponsor a few journalists from developing countries.
To minimize non-transfer of attachments because of e-mail technical limitations, the following attachments will be sent in two separate e-mails:
1) A letter that includes practical information; Media accreditation form; Draft time schedule; Visa application form; & list of Tanzanian Embassies abroad.
2) The second batch of attachments will include: a reply coupon and details on pre-Council visits to Rwanda and to Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya); post-Council visit to LWF/DWS Uganda.
