Taichung church explores housekeeping job opportunities for

In the wake of the recent financial crisis, churches need to look  out for the

emotional and spiritual needs of their members as well as think of  tangible ways

of supporting them – such as helping them to find jobs.

To help its members, Taichung Presbytery’s Chung-Hsiao Road  Church invited

Jireh Housework Ltd. executive Wu Ching-Ping to give a  presentation on June

30th on the topic of employment in the housekeeping sector. Wu is  also a zone

leader from Fengshan Bread of Life Church in Kaohsiung County and  Chung-

Hsiao Church leaders hoped that this opportunity might help  unemployed

members and parents involved in after-school tutoring find  suitable employment.

Wu has worked in social services and housekeeping companies after  graduating

from college. Knowing how difficult it is for women to juggle a  career and a family

and fueled by a love for housekeeping, she founded Jireh Housework  Ltd. based

in Kaohsiung to extend this type of social services to those in  need.

The main goal of the presentation was to pass on information to  those who need

it and invite interested parties to attend basic training sessions  that will be

organized in the near future. After some training and assessment,  Chung-Hsiao

Church will help introduce some jobs to participants.
