CATHOLIC CHURCH AND WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES TO GIVE MORE SPACE
TO YOUTH IN ECUMENICAL DIALOGUE

The Joint Working Group (JWG) between the Roman Catholic Church
(RCC) and the World Council of Churches (WCC) held its annual
meeting in Cordoba, Spain, 12-19 October 2009. It concentrated
its work on Spiritual Roots of Ecumenism, and on how to ensure
that ecumenical achievements of many years are properly received
by the churches (Reception).

The issue of Migration was discussed and recognized as "a
challenge and an opportunity for deepening Christian ecumenical
relations".

The JWG also highlighted "the need to give a space of leadership
and responsibility to young people in the ecumenical movement".
