Kevin Slimp to lead photo editing, color correction workshops

A whirlwind tour of tools in Adobe Photoshop and a fast-paced session
on photo editing and color correction will be offered by Kevin Slimp,
Director of the Institute of Newspaper Technology, at the Religion
Communication Congress, April 7-10, 2010.

"Learning the Basics of Photoshop and Photo Editing" is designed for
anyone wanting to sharpen their Photoshop skills. Participants will
learn how to use many of the traditional techniques used by
photographers for decades, as well as more recent tools to get the
desired results when working with photos. 

Participants in the advanced session "Photo Editing and Color
Correction Tips in Photoshop for Experienced Users" will learn skills
to drastically improve the way pictures look in print.

Kevin Slimp is Director of the Institute of Newspaper Technology, a
continuing education program for newspaper publishers, designers and
technical gurus located on campus at the University of Tennessee,
where he also serves as Adjunct Professor in the College of
Communication and Information. He has spoken at hundreds of
conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The Religion Communication Congress (RCCongress 2010) is an
international, interfaith gathering of religion communicators held
every ten years offering cutting edge skills-building workshops,
challenging plenary speakers, and networking opportunities with
communications professionals. Registration for the April 7-10, 2010 in
Chicago is open to any religion communicator who seeks to be more
effective in telling the stories of his or her faith group and to
