Three Conferences of the United Church of Christ have announced
leadership transitions prior to the close of 2009.

The Rev. Emmett Floyd has been named Transitional Interim in the
Southern Conference. He will serve in this position until a more
long-term Interim is called. Floyd is well known in region as he
served as Conference Minister in Southeast Conference . The Rev.
Steven Camp, former Southern Conference Minister, has been called as
pastor of Faith UCC in Hartford, Conn.

Beginning Jan. 4, 2010, the Rev. Krista Betz will be the Interim
Conference Minister in Kansas-Oklahoma Conference. She most recently
served as an Associate Conference Minister in the Missouri Mid-South
Conference. Betz also served in the national setting where she was a
member of the Executive Council and Chair of Organizational Life.

The Rev. Rita Root began serving as New York's Interim Conference
Minister in November. She previously served as the Associate
Conference Minister in the Chicago Metropolitan Association of the
Illinois Conference prior to being called to the New York Conference
to fill the void left by the Rev. Geoffrey Black's move to Cleveland
as General Minister and President of the UCC.
