Bishop Duracin of Haiti offers a Lenten reflection in bulletin inserts
for Feb. 21
[Episcopal News Service] "I look at this as a baptism," writes Bishop
Jean Zaché Duracin of Haiti in a reflection in Episcopal News Service
Weekly bulletin inserts for Feb. 21, the first Sunday of Lent, which
is also designated by General Convention as Episcopal Relief &
Development Sunday. Bishop Duracin comments on the situation in Haiti
and the need for faith, prayer and renewal in the midst of devastation
caused by a magnitude-7 earthquake on Jan. 12.

measure that would pave the way for women to be consecrated as bishops
in the Church of England needs more time to consider the legislation,

NORTHERN IRELAND: Church leaders hail political agreement

creed of human rights: "You're equal. You should be safe. You should
be happy. If you want to go to school, you go to school."
"But that's not true everywhere in the world," he recently told the

Jersey.
