3067 Edition December 6~12, 2010 Church Ministry News Praise Dance celebrates 7th anniversary, 5th CD Reported by Chen Yi-hsuan Written by Lydia Ma To celebrate Praise Dance’s 7th anniversary and 5th CD release, Taiwan Praise Dance Association held two grand celebrations – one in Taipei and another one in Kaohsiung. The one in Kaohsiung, held on December 3, 2010, at The Grand Hotel, was attended by Christians across Taiwan involved in this ministry. The celebration featured a lot of dancing and thanksgiving and everyone was in high spirits. Praise Dance founder, Wu Mei-yun, led guests into various routines just for fun. What was newsworthy about this year’s celebration is the noticeable presence of men. Many of them were enthusiastic guests who confidently managed to follow Wu in doing every routine. In many parks across Taiwan nowadays, it’s not unusual to find a group of people dressed in purple t-shirt and pink sweat pants doing gymnastics for their health. These routines are always accompanied by gospel music or worship music. The result is always a healthier body and a healthier spirit after having exercised and worshipped God early in the morning. Because of Praise Dance, some people who happened to pass by stayed, watched, joined in, and eventually heard of the gospel and were baptized. ******************** Taiwan Church News is published weekly in Taiwan's local languages.
