ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire (UMNS) — After a year in which a battle for the
presidency took the country to chaos, Côte d’Ivoire officials welcomed a
United Methodist delegation for a series of meetings that explored ways in
which the church could support rebuilding efforts.

The Rev. Shane Stanford: Living with HIV
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (UMNS) — For years, Shane Stanford lived with a secret. When
Stanford graduated from seminary and told people he was HIV-positive, even
churches turned their backs. The experience tested the young pastor’s faith,
