ANDERSON FEATURED ON "LUTHERAN VESPERS"
The Rev. H. George Anderson, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America, is taking part in three "Lutheran Vespers"
programs in April as the guest of host Walter Wangerin, Jr. On
April 14, the second Sunday of the Easter season, Anderson shared
"the Easter message he most desired to proclaim," Wangerin said.
The April 21 program will present Anderson's Christian journey,
"his own personal experience of faith and the presence of God in
his life, then the development of his sense of ministry." The
bishop will detail his goals and dreams for the church on the
April 28 program, Wangerin explained -- what Anderson thinks must
happen within the church, "what is realistic and necessary, right
and good and Godly?" "Lutheran Vespers," a radio ministry of the
ELCA, is heard on 175 stations in the United States, Africa and
Guam.
