APPLETON, Wis.--"A Way into the Future for Presbyterian Congregations" is 
the title of a Nov. 10-11 workshop sponsored by the Evangelism and Strategy 
committees of Winnebago Presbytery.  It will be held at First Presbyterian 
Church in Shawano. 
     Keynote speaker is the Rev. Ben Johnson, professor of spirituality at 
Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga.  Workshop sessions will 
address such topics as "Recovering a Sense of Promise," "Proposals for 
Constructive Change," "Challenges for Today's Churches" and "Putting It All 
Together in the Local Church. 
 
SPOKANE, Wash.--Inland Northwest Presbytery is sponsoring two "financial 
workshops" for church treasurers and financial officers this fall.  The 
first workshop was held  Oct. 21 at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Spokane 
and the next will be held Nov. 4 at First Presbyterian Church of Moscow, 
Idaho. 
     The workshops include a review of various Internal Revenue Service 
forms and reports, an examination of needed documentation for financial 
reporting, an overview of accounting procedures and tips for preparing 
annual reports.
