95415         Nominating Committee Seeks Candidates  
                      for Committee Openings

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The General Assembly Nominating Committee (GANC) is 
seeking candidates to fill 44 at-large vacancies on General Assembly-level 
entities. 
 
     The committee will also be filling nine new vacancies through its 
rotation process for synod and presbytery representation. 
 
     At its Oct. 26-27 meeting here, the committee voted to recommend that 
49 currently serving entity members be reelected to an additional 
three-year term. 
 
     The GANC's full slate of nominees will be presented to the 208th 
General Assembly (1996) in Albuquerque for election.  The committee accepts 
endorsements from individuals (including self-endorsements), sessions, 
presbyteries, synods and other Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)-related 
organizations. 
 
     No person may be considered for nomination unless an "Endorsement for 
Nomination" form has been received by the GANC.  Forms and other 
information about the nominating process are available from GANC

     National Council of Presbyterian Men: 3 (must be ministers)

     Presbyterian Publishing Corporation Board of Directors: 1 
 
     Committee on Representation: 3 (one each from the synods of Covenant, 
Living Waters       and South Atlantic) 
 
     Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy: 2 
 
     Committee on the Office of the General Assembly: 3 
 
     Presbyterian Committee on the Self Development of People: 4
