95022    1995 STEWARDSHIP EDUCATION RESOURCE PUBLISHED 
                 IN TWO PARTS, PART ONE RELEASED

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--For the first time the Presbyterian Church 
(U.S.A.) annual stewardship education resource is being published 
in two parts, and part one has just been mailed to congregations, 
according to the Congregational Ministries Division. 
 
     The second part of the resource is scheduled to be mailed in 
June. 
 
     Marie Cross, associate for stewardship resources, said the 
two-part mailing represents an effort to encourage year-round 
stewardship.  "Having two parts not only serves as a reminder that 
stewardship continues all year long, but it also gives us [the 
staff of the General Assembly's stewardship education team] a way 
to respond to current needs of congregations," she explained. 
 
     "Stewardship 1995-Part One" is a 48-page, four-color magazine 
format resource with eight sections: 
 
     * biblical material 
 
     * worship resources 
 
     * children and stewardship 
 
     * youth and stewardship 
 
     * stewardship studies for adults 
 
     * leadership resources 
 
     * reproducible art 
 
     * theme resources 
 
     The PCUSA's stewardship theme for 1995 is "Give thanks...Sing 
praise...Declare God's steadfast love!" and is based on Psalm 92:1- 
2.
