                     RETIREMENT PLANNER DIES

PHILADELPHIA--The Board of Pensions has announced the sudden death of the 
Rev.  M. Bland Dudley, 66, a retirement planning consultant for the board. 
Dudley died in his sleep May 2 at his home in Tappahannock, Va.   
      
     Dudley and his wife, Penny, had been conducting retirement planning 
seminars for the board since 1991.  In addition, he had been serving as 
stated supply pastor of Wesley Memorial Presbyterian Church in Weems, Va., 
and at Milden Presbyterian Church in Sharps, Va. 
 
     In addition to his wife, Dudley is survived by his son, Carter, and 
daughter, Jane. 
 
     Funeral services are scheduled for May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church 
in Irvington, Va.
