Episcopal Appointments - August 1995

THE RT REVD WILLIAM DOWN, Bishop of Bermuda,  is to be an Assistant Bishop in 
Leicester and
Priest-in-Charge of St Mary's Humberstone, Church of England.

THE RT REVD EDWARD W NEUFVILLE, Suffragan Bishop of the Episcopal Church in 
Liberia, has been
elected bishop of the diocese, Church of the Province of West Africa.  He 
succeeds the Most Revd George
Browne, who died in office.

THE RT REVD CLEMENT SHABA, Bishop of Central Zambia, has been elected Bishop 
of the Diocese
of Harare, Church of the Province of Central Africa. He succeeds the Rt Revd 
Peter Hatendi who has
retired.
