     A story in the Aug. 30 issue of "NEWS BRIEFS" about plans for the 1997 
Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women (#96272) contained several 
errors. 
     Previous gatherings have been held on the campuses of Purdue 
University in Indiana and Iowa State University in Ames. 
     Bible study at the gathering will not be led by the Rev. Catherine 
Gonsulus Gonzalez.  Gonzalez will write a preparatory Bible study on the 
conference theme for the gathering, but the daily Bible study leader will 
be Sister Miriam Therese Winter. 
     Catherine Kapikian will be artist consultant, not artist-in-residence.
