LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Materials for congregations wishing to observe the 1997 
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Jan. 18-25, are now available. 
 
     The week centers around 2 Cor. 5:16-21 and carries the theme "Be 
Reconciled to God." 
 
     The resource packet includes an order for ecumenical worship, an 
exegetical reflection on the scriptural theme, daily scripture and prayer 
guides, homily notes, music suggestions, sample pulpit and bulletin 
announcements, a sample press release for local newspapers, and suggestions 
for promoting the week, Ecumenical Sunday (Jan. 19) and the Martin Luther 
King Jr. holiday (Jan. 20). 
 
     The resource packet costs $3 plus shipping and handling and can be
