SAGINAW, Mich.--First Presbyterian Church of Flint will be the scene of 
Lake Huron Presbytery's 11th annual "Big Event" on Feb. 15. 
     Keynote speaker is the Rev. Robert W. Bohl, pastor of Village 
Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kan., and moderator of the 207th 
General Assembly (1995).  The event will also include two dozen workshops 
on a variety of topics. 
 
FINDLAY, Ohio--Maumee Valley Presbytery will host a directed silent retreat 
March 9 at the Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont.  Organizers say 
it will be a time for silence, reflection, spiritual renewal and 
preparation for the celebration of Easter. 
     Spiritual directors will be present to provide scripture for 
meditation and prayer as well as guidance as needed.  The day will include 
prayer, meditation, recreation and rest. 
 
ANAHEIM, Calif.--The Rev. Dale Bruner, professor of religion at Whitworth 
College in Spokane, Wash., will be keynote speaker for the annual pastors' 
retreat of Los Ranchos Presbytery.  Bruner will share reflections on the 
gospel of John. 
     The retreat will be Feb. 26-28 at Sierra Retreat Center in Malibu. 
 
BAINBRIDGE, N.Y.--"Presbytery Day" for Susquehanna Valley Presbytery will 
be Feb. 22.  The event will be held at Bainbridge Presbyterian Church. 
     Keynote speaker for the event, on the topic "Why Evil? A Christian 
Perspective on God and Human Suffering," is the Rev. Sang Lee of the 
faculty of Princeton Theological Seminary.  The event will also include 
workshops designed for teachers, elders, pastors and church members. 
 
HATTIESBURG, Miss.--Mississippi Presbytery's "Mission Fair" will be held 
April 19 at Westminster Presbyterian Church here. 
     With a focus on the Presbyterian Church's "Year with Latin Americans" 
mission emphasis, the fair will feature Frank and Hope Arnold, recently 
retired missionaries to Brazil.  A report from a presbytery youth mission 
trip to Mexico will also be presented and a representative from the General 
Assembly's Worldwide Ministries Division will update participants on the 
"Year with Latin Americans" program.
