We announce with deep sorrow the passing away of the Right Reverend
James T. Yashiro, Primate of the Nippon Sei Ko Kai and Bishop of the
Diocese of Kitakanto.  He passed away at 11:40pm on March 12 in Murayama
Hospital near his residence at the age of 65.  He succumbed to
respiratory failure after a long illness.

The Vigil will be held at 6:00pm on March 16, and the Funeral will be
conducted at noon on March 17, both at the Church of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, Shiki.

The Diocesan Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on April 5, at St.
Paul's Chapel of St. Paul's Senior High School, Shiki.

Of your charity, please pray for the eternal repose of Bishop James, and
for God's comfort to his wife, Elizabeth Yoko and their four children
and families.
