PNET Note# 4095--The name of  Dr. Warner Anthony of Western North Carolina 
Presbytery, a commissioner to the 209th General Assembly (1997), was 
misspelled in the March 28, 1997, edition of "NEWS BRIEFS."

PNET Note#4027--Because of inaccurate information received by the 
Presbyterian News Service from the Societal Violence Initiative Team, a 
story in the Feb. 14 edition of "NEWS BRIEFS" about the Presbyterian Women 
Birthday Offering (#97056) incorrectly reported that the initiative team 
will receive $150,000 from the offering. 
     The actual amount of the award will not be determined until after the 
offering has been taken.

PNET Note#4096--The moderator's letter on The Bicentennial Fund published 
in the April 11 issue of "NEWS BRIEFS" (#97133) included a wrong telephone 
number.  The number for Bicentennial Fund project information is 
1-800-832-3484.
