                    for UMNS Release #320 {132}

Please disregard the first two paragraphs of this release and
substitute the following:

     Two Methodist officials in Sierra Leone were to be among the
church leaders meeting in Freetown June 2 to work on a statement
about the military coup in that West African country.
     The Rev. Frances Nabieu, a United Methodist pastor from
Sierra Leone who currently is stranded in the United States
because of the coup, spoke June 1 with United Methodist Bishop
Joseph P. Humper. Humper was to attend the council meeting the
next day along with the Rev. Christian Peacock, president of the
Methodist Church of Sierra Leone (British).

The remainder of the release is unchanged.
