                          Clarification 
 
     The family of the Rev. David Ng has asked the Presbyterian News 
Service to publish the following statement in response to the "NEWS BRIEFS" 
story (May 23, 1997, page 13) reporting his death: 
 
     "Dave found out he had coronary artery problems in 1985.  He made the 
necessary adjustments and continued to live with faith in God, living life 
to the fullest until April 29, 1997, when he died peacefully in his sleep." 
 
     The Presbyterian News Service regrets any additional pain suffered by 
David Ng's family as a result of its report of his death.
