                      Focus Groups Look at Newsletter

SYRACUSE--Dividing itself into focus groups led by Dr. Grace Simmons, the 
Assembly Committee on the Presbyterian Foundation and Presbyterian 
Publishing Corporation took an in-depth look at the denomination's new 
quarterly newsletter. 
 
    Participants were asked to evaluate the first issue 
of "Presbyterians," which was mailed to 231,000 Presbyterian homes prior to 
the meeting of the 209th General Assembly.  Input was sought on how to 
build the newsletter mailing list.  Opinions were shared about layout and 
content and editorial policies.  The new publication is available online as 
well as in print.
