         Overseas Mission Service Opportunities Announced

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Mission Service Recruitment office of the Worldwide 
Ministries Division here is seeking candidates for 20 missionary 
assignments in 15 countries. 
 
     The salaried positions are for three-year terms, beginning in January 
1988.  The application deadline is Sept. 1, 1997. 
 
     According to missionary recruiter Susan Rhema, interested persons need 
to be able to live a simple lifestyle, have intercultural experience, know 
a foreign language or possess language acquisition skills, have 
professional experience or credentials that match the position being sought 
and be willing to make a three-year commitment. 
 
     Positions available: 
 
    * coordinator for community health and development, Presbyterian Border 
      Ministries -- Mexico/United States 
    * enabler/facilitator for mission, Amity Foundation and China Christian 
      Council -- China/Hong Kong 
    * professor of New Testament, Pacific Theological College -- Fiji 
    * evangelist, peacemaker, financial representative, Presbyterian Church 
      in Korea -- Korea 
    * teacher of English, French, math and accounting, Onesua High School 
      of the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu -- Vanuatu 
    * teacher of agriculture, Bethel Evangelical Secondary School -- 
      Ethiopia 
    * evangelism facilitator (must be an ordained PC(USA) minister), 
      Illubabour Bethel Synod -- Ethiopia 
    * adviser to women's department, Presbyterian Community of Zaire -- 
      Zaire 
    * professor of religious studies, Evangelical Theological Seminary -- 
      Croatia 
    * research and resource development program specialist, Coptic 
      Evangelical Organization for Social Services -- Egypt 
    * professor of theology, Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo --

    * principal, Woodstock Christian International School -- India 
    * site coordinator for solidarity and reconciliation program, various
