           Assembly Calls for Immigration Policy Overview

SYRACUSE--The 209th General Assembly Wednesday evening directed the General 
Assembly Council, in consultation with the Advisory Committee on Social 
Witness Policy, to prepare a comprehensive overview of previous policy on 
issues of immigration, refugees, and asylum-seekers.  The GAC will also 
prepare in consultation with the ACSWP an analysis of the sociopolitical 
context addressed by existing policy.
