    Maritza Morgan, the Croatian-born folk artist whose murals explored 
interfaith and interracial themes, died at her home June 8 in Chautauqua, 
N.Y.  She was 76.  Morgan's series "The Challenge of Noah's Ark" now hangs 
in the Atrium of the Presbyterian Center.  The series was first shown at 
Princeton Theological Seminary as part of its 175th anniversary and the 
paintings were exhibited as part of the bicentennial celebration of the 
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

    Lucy A. Rose, associate professor of preaching and worship at Columbia 
Theological Seminary, died July 17 in Decatur, Ga., of breast cancer 
complications.  She was 50.  Rose joined the Columbia faculty in 1983 after 
serving churches in North Carolina.  She served as president of the Academy 
of Homiletics from 1994 through 1995.  Survivors include her husband, Gerry 
Cook, and their eight-year-old daughter, Lucy McIlwaine Cook.  Memorials 
may be given to a fund supporting her daughter's education and welfare, in 
care of Margaret Day Rose, Custodian FBO Lucy McIlwaine Cook, Columbia 
Theological Seminary, P.O. Box 520, Decatur, GA  30031.
