CORRECTIONS

Please make the following change to the second
sentence, third paragraph of the June 18 DNS
release 97b-38, "Disciples introduce themselves to
Denver via television." The paragraph should read
as follows ( corrected information is in
boldface):

One way Disciples hope to spread the word about
the church is by television. Opening night
activities from General Assembly will be shown
from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 27 on Channel 53. The
broadcast, "The Disciples: A Church for Today,"
also features scenes from Colorado Christian Home,
a Disciples-sponsored ministry in Denver, and
footage from a March volunteer project to rebuild
a burned church in rural Arkansas.

Please also make a change to the first sentence,
fifth paragraph of the June 18 DNS release 97b-39,
"Denver assembly means  homecoming' for Disciples
executive." The paragraph should read as follows (
corrected information is in boldface):

Thompson will make a return visit to St. Thomas
July 27, preaching at the congregation's  10 a.m.
worship service. The repeat visit is purely
coincidental, said Thompson. She is among 46
Disciples clergy randomly assigned to preach in
Denver area churches that day.
