    Corrections and Clarifications 
 
    A story in the July 4 issue of "NEWS BRIEFS" about the General 
Assembly's action on late term abortions (p. 12) omitted a word.  The word 
of counsel to the church and culture stated that "... the procedure known 
as intact dilation and extraction of a baby who could live outside the womb 
is of grave moral concern. ..."

    A story in the July 4 issue of "NEWS BRIEFS" about the 
Lutheran-Reformed dialogue (p. 8) incorrectly identified writer Mark 
Baldwin as a professor at Northwestern University's Medill School of 
Journalism.  Baldwin is an adjunct instructor at the school.

    Due to a clerical error, the "General Assembly News" wrap-up edition 
incorrectly reported the General Assembly's action on Overture 97-28.  The 
overture, from San Francisco Presbytery, was referred to the stated clerk, 
not answered by an alternate resolution.
