    Three New Churches Raise WARC Membership to 211

DEBRECEN, Hungary--Three new churches have been admitted to membership in 
the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC), raising the Alliance's 
membership to 211 denominations in 104 countries. 
 
    The new member churches are the Evangelical Church in the Dominican 
Republic, with 10,000 members; the United Church of Christ in the Solomon 
Islands, with 50,000 members; and the United Church of Christ 
Congregational in the Marshall Islands, with 30,000 members. 
 
    The 23rd General Council of the Alliance met here Aug. 8-20.
