CHURCH OF IRELAND LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
The Church of Ireland is launching its new Website on the Internet on
Thursday 2nd October 1997 at 9am. The Website, which can be viewed at
http://www.ireland.anglican.org/
provides a wealth of information and resources on the Church and its
work.As well as providing information on the structure and work of the
Church of Ireland, a section has been created to inform visitors to the
Website of the Church's position on key issues including the Ordination
of Women and World Aid.
Each of the twelve dioceses within the Church of Ireland has its own
series of webpages which include a listing of all parishes and diocesan
staff. All Press Statements issued by the Church of Ireland Press Office
will also be put on to the Website as they are released.
It is hoped to develop the Website further over the next year to include
resources for schools and youth leaders on both the history and ongoing
work of the Church of Ireland.
The Website is being managed by the Central Communications Board of the
Church of Ireland. It was designed and is maintained by Storm New
Technology Management and is being hosted by Ireland On Line.
With the compliments of the Church of Ireland Press Office
