budgets and an endowment of nearly $200 million.

class of 1931, of Grants Pass, Ore., recently gave the college a gift in
excess of $1 million to honor the memory of Mrs. Cleveland's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ferdinand H. Young. The donation will make possible the renovation
of Bradley Lodge as an international student center. Bradley is scheduled
to undergo extensive remodeling and eventually will house 25 to 28
full-time students. The residence will be renamed the Cleveland-Young
International Center and is expected to open in the fall of 1988.

recently the successful completion of the Campaign for Eckerd College. The
college exceeded the $33 million campaign goal with gifts and pledges
totaling $33,827,911. The campaign focused on three key areas: endowment,
facilities and equipment, and annual support, which strengthened Eckerd's
ability to remain among the nation's finest liberal arts colleges. The
college received 82 major gifts of $100,000 or more, including gifts and
pledges from some of Southwest Florida's most prominent families and
business leaders. Additional support for the campaign came through more
