The Worldwide Ministries Division in Louisville has announced the
appointment of Dr. Dorothy M. Brewster Lee, a pediatrician, as coordinator
for international health ministries. She will begin her new work in May.
Lee, a graduate of Howard University and the Johns Hopkins University
School of Public Health and Hygiene, recently completed a five-year term as
a Presbyterian missionary with her husband, Derrick, in Cameroon.

The National Ministries Division in Louisville has announced that the
position occupied by the Rev. Barbara Green in the Presbyterian Washington
Office is being eliminated as of July 20.
Green has served on the staff of the Washington Office for 15 years.
During that time she has established a solid reputation as an expert on
international arms control, the Persian Gulf, Africa, post-war Europe and
other peace issues. She is a recipient of the Presbyterian Peace
Fellowship's Peaceseeker Award.
The elimination of Green's position is part of $50,000 in National
Ministries Division budget cuts for the Presbyterian Washington Office.

The Rev. Clyde O. Robinson Jr. has been selected as the recipient of
the Presbyterian Church's Higher Education Award for 1998.
The Higher Education Award is given annually to the person judged by a
selection committee from the higher education constituency of the church to
have made the most substantial contribution to the PC(USA)'s mission in
higher education.
Robinson, who makes his home in Charlotte, N.C., will receive the award
there during the upcoming 210th General Assembly. He recently retired as
associate for higher education ministries and students' ministries in the
Higher Education Program Area of the National Ministries Division in
Louisville.
In addition, five persons were named to the Higher Education Honor Roll
by the selection committee. They are James Daughdrill, president of Rhodes
College, Memphis, Tenn.; Henry Fawcett, director of the Native American
Program and pastor to students at the University of Dubuque Theological
Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa; Verle Headings, professor of pediatrics genetics
and human genetics at Howard University, Washington, D.C.; Mary Ann Meyer,
coordinator for the Cooperative Campus Ministry of Central New York; and
the Rev. Robert Russell, pastor emeritus of Northminster Presbyterian
Church, Columbus, Ohio.
