AUSTIN, Texas - Justo Gonz lez, internationally known historian and 
theologian, will be the featured speaker at Austin Presbyterian Theological 
Seminary's Settles Lectures, Nov. 9-10.   "Culture Wars and the Book of 
Revelation" is the subject of the lecture, which will be held at 7 p.m. 
Nov. 9 in the McMillan classroom building.  Gonzalez will also preach 
during the community's Nov. 10 worship. 
 
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Eight scholars have been selected to receive The 
Louisville Institute's Christian Faith and Life Sabbatical Grants for the 
1998-99 academic year.  The grants are given in cooperation with the Lilly 
Endowment, Inc., through its Christian Faith and Life Initiative. 
Recipients are Rowan D. Crews of Claflin College, William C. French of 
Loyola University of Chicago, Frederick E. Glennon of Le Moyne College, 
David J. Gouwens of the Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian Univeristy, 
C. Michael Hawn of the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist 
University, Christine Firer Hinze of Marquette University, Leo D. Lefebure 
of the Mundelein Seminary, University of Saint Mary of the Lake and Linda 
A. Mercadante of the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.  Louisville 
Presbyterian Theological Seminary's center for research and leadership 
education in American religion, The Louisville Institute was founded in 
1990.
