Choirs interested in participating in a worship service during General
Conference, May 2-12, 2000, in Cleveland, Ohio, must submit an audition
video tape no later than March 15, 1999, according to the Rev. Cynthia
Wilson-Felder, director of music for the event.

The tape must include examples of at least three musical styles such as
hymns, spirituals, anthems and gospel music. Choirs, who would come at
their own expense, should be available to sing at any one of the daily
worship services to which they might be assigned.

Along with the videotape, choirs are asked to send a group photo,
include the number of choir members who would be available to attend the
conference, and list any specific needs or requirements. Wilson-Felder
said choirs of all ages are encouraged to apply as well as bell choirs,
signing choirs and liturgical dancers. Special efforts will be made to
select choirs for the week that represent diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Tapes are also being solicited from persons who would like to offer
their services as organist for two to three days of General Conference.
Several persons will be selected to serve in this capacity,
Wilson-Felder said.

Audition tapes, photos and information may be sent to Cynthia
Wilson-Felder, Ben Hill United Methodist Church, 2099 Fairburn Road,
S.W., Atlanta, GA 30331. Questions may be directed to Wilson-Felder at
(404) 344-0618, Ext. 112.
