    PNS Will Produce Daily Reports on COCU Plenary

ST. LOUIS-The Presbyterian News Service will produce daily summaries of 
events during the 18th plenary of the Consultation on Church Union (COCU) 
here Jan. 20-24. 
 
    This is the first COCU plenary in 10 years. Delegates from the nine 
member denominations will try to map out a course for the 30-year-old 
church unity organization. 
 
    The reports will include a daily two-minute summary on VoiceLine, 
1-800-872-3283. 
 
    The text of each recording, beginning Jan. 21, will be available in the 
PresbyNet meeting "PCUSA REPORTS FROM COCU." 
 
    News reports by the Presbyterian News Service and COCU press officer 
Jean Caffey Lyles will be available on the Presbyterian Church's web site 
at www.pcusa.org. A special link to COCU news from the PC(USA) home page 
also will be established.
