    Five Groups to Share Women's Birthday Offering

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Five projects, four in the United States and one in 
Kenya, have been chosen to receive funds from the 1999 Birthday Offering of 
Presbyterian Women. 
 
    A total of 41 proposals were received by PW's Creative Ministries 
Offering Committee for the receipts of the 1999 offering. Presbyterian 
women have been making the Birthday Offering for 77 years. 
 
    The January/February issue of "HORIZONS," the magazine of Presbyterian 
Women, will feature the five projects. 
 
    They are: 
 
   *  Centre County Women's Resource Center Shelter Renovation Project, 
      State College, Pa. 
   *  18th Street Special Services Campus for Mothers and Infants, 
      Sarasota, Fla. 
   *  Fire Light, Inc., Birmingham, Ala. 
   *  Pathfinder Lodge Group Home, Fort Thompson Reservation, S.D. 
   *  Presbyterian Church of East Africa Ecumenical Conference and 
      Training Center, Mombasa, Kenya.
