CHEVY CHASE, Md. (UMNS) - The Shared Mission Focus on Young People, an
initiative that seeks to integrate young people into the life of the United
Methodist Church at every level, has established a World Wide Web site.

The site can be reached at www.sharedmissionfocus.org and includes
information about the movement, which grew out of legislation by the 1996
General Conference, the denomination's highest lawmaking body.

On the Web site, the initiative's purpose is explained and examples of its
work are given. The site also features a list of frequently asked questions
and answers. A description of the 27 international grants to fund staff for
pilot projects and 12 mini-grants to meet new program needs can also be
found there.
