Clarification on Press Release 20 Re: Finances
Although taken from a direct quote from two sources in the plenary sessions
the fact is the Church of England is not the only church to pay their full
asking for the Anglican Communion Inter Anglican Budget.
According to Michael Nunn, treasurer of the ACC, "about 50% of the provinces
pay their full asking to the Inter Anglican Budget." This 50% includes
Japan, Ireland, Indian Ocean, Burundi and others.
In addition the Primate of the Episcopal Church USA has notified ACC of his
intention to have his church pay their full asking.
We regret the need for this clarification.
