LOUISVILLE, Ky.-The Rev. Robert H. Craig, pastor of New York Avenue
Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., has been named executive director
of Ghost Ranch/Plaza Resolana Conference Center in New Mexico. He begins
his new work in mid-January.

Craig, 53, has been pastor of New York Avenue since 1990. The Ghost
Ranch/Plaza Resolana job will be his second ministerial position in New
Mexico - for six years he was pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in
Albuquerque. He also served as a pastor in St. Louis and was on the
faculty of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago from 1985-1990.

Chosen from a large, strong field of candidates, Craig impressed the
search committee with his experience in funds development and marketing and
the creative educational programming he instigated at New York Avenue.

Roz McGee, chair of the Ghost Ranch/Plaza Resolana Governing Board,
said, "Rob has carried out his ministry at the parish level and in the
seminary setting. He has developed educational programs, led and
reorganized staffs and assisted in funds development. He articulates and
demonstrates the importance of mission and he is knowledgeable about the
structure, governance and issues of the Presbyterian Church. Rob has
worked with diverse constituencies and his prior work demonstrates
effectiveness in multicultural affairs."

Craig is married to Susan Hughes Craig, an elementary school teacher
who specializes in teaching children with severe learning disabilities.
They have two adult children - Caroline, who is a Ph.D. candidate in
neurology at Washington University in St. Louis, and William, a fifth grade
teacher in the New York City public schools.
