 United Methodist News Service has posted a World Wide Web page on the
upcoming church trial of the Rev. Jimmy Creech. The page is at
www.umc.org/umns/99/nov/creech.htm. It also can be accessed by clicking on
the link on the UMNS home page, www.umc.org/umns/.

 The new page provides a question-and-answer overview of the trial.
Bulletins, stories and additional photographs will be posted after the
proceedings begin. 

 The trial will be held Nov. 17-18 at Trinity United Methodist Church in
Grand Island, Neb. Creech was charged with disobedience to the order and
discipline of the United Methodist Church after performing a same-gender
union ceremony for two men last April.

 Covering the trial for UMNS will be Dan Gangler, a free-lance writer
formerly with the United Methodist Reporter newspaper, and staff
photojournalist Mike DuBose.
